Kwikpac in The Amazon!

In June 2018 we sent our Taurex Tonic Whisky on an expedition on The Amazon River!

We were delighted to have been given the opportunity to support 14 reservists from 225 Medical Regiment and 3 instructors from other regiments who were deployed on the adventure of a lifetime.
The reservists paddled an astonishing 220km along the Rio Urubu River in the Amazon, from 1-17 June 2018.

The aim of the expedition was to help the reservists to develop qualities of physical fitness, navigation, leadership, courage, teamwork and cultural sensitivity. The army reservists are volunteers, so this was an opportunity for the soldiers to travel and experience things they would never normally have the chance to do.

We sent our very own bottles of Taurex Tonic Whisky with the reservists on their expedition and these were given out to plantation leaders and local canoe leaders, with one bottle safely returned one to Kwikpac HQ in Scotland!

Training: 2017 and 2018

Kayaking in Scotland

The reservists began training in 2017 and continued into 2018, with a 2 week foundation canoe course, a 3 day 70km canoe on the River Spey and weekend canoe trips.
